    Description

    Basic Function:

    Responsible for the proper loading, unloading and handling of supplies, raw and finished product, operating pallet jacks and all associated equipment and following GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and safety guidelines along with other tasks assigned by management.

    Assist in ensuring food-safe, high quality products are produced that meet or exceed all regulatory and legal requirements. Assist in maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

    Requirements

    A training certificate and minimum 2 years' experience in forklift operation in any capacity is usually a normal requirement.

    • Line hauling, loading and unloading freight vehicles using related equipment.
    • Able and willing to work in extreme cold or hot environment
    • Picking and packaging orders.
    • Warehousing and shipping.
    • Maintaining simple inventory.
    • Verify conditions and quality of items received.
    • Ensure timely delivery of freight.
    • Maintenance of all forklifts related equipment.
    • Ability and skill to maneuver the forklift without a pallet.
    • Ability to handle light and heavy lifting with ease.
    • Basic documenting skills.
    • Knowledge of all safety measures to be taken during the forklift operation. (Equipment and maintenance)
