USPI _Northwest Surgery Center_
, is seeking a motivated
Admitting/Medical Records to join our team. Northwest Surgery Center is a busy, multi-specialty surgery center conveniently located on the Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital campus. We have 7 ORs and 1 procedure room. We perform a broad range of outpatient surgical procedures including ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology.

Position requires weekdays only - no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary:
Interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff and visitors to the Surgery Center

Job Duties:

Admit patients and update patient demographic information in system
Obtain proper identification and insurance from patients
Confirm insurance eligibility and communicate out of pocket estimates with patients
Collect and document patient payments
Interact with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Prepare medical records for admission of patients
Audit and prepare previous days medical records for scanning
Work assigned projects/tasks as delegated by manager
Answer incoming calls as needed

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

- one year or more of related experience

Flexibility to work early morning shift to accommodate surgery schedule
Communication skills
Basic math skills
Computer competency
