About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our JustGiving Platform team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the stability and availability of our website.

We are committed to upholding customer trust through constant attention to stability, security, and speed while striving to enhance the capacity and compliance of our systems.

Most of our applications and services operate on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a few on Microsoft's Azure. Our new services are now being deployed as Docker containers in Kubernetes.

Our technology stack involves software developed in .NET Framework, .NET Core, and NodeJS, running on platforms like IIS and NGINX, utilizing Windows 2022 and Amazon Linux.

We heavily rely on metrics, monitoring, and logging automation tools like Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana.

What You'll Be Doing:

Designing, writing, and maintaining infrastructure code and tools crucial for supporting our platform.
Collaborating with the team to establish necessary tooling, culture, and organizational framework for efficient software delivery and maintenance.
Resolving issues related to critical services, developing and implementing automation solutions to avoid future incidents.
Assisting in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system optimization.

What We Require:

Prior experience as a Windows or Linux systems administrator, software developer, or a combination of both.
Proficiency in automation/configuration management tools like Terraform or similar.
Strong coding skills in one or more languages, particularly .NET, NodeJS, or Typescript.
Familiarity with Cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or related container technologies.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like ADO, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
Understanding of logging, monitoring, and alerting systems like ELK, Graphite, Nagios, or Prometheus.
