Job Summary:
Dietary Aide is under the direction and supervision of the Director of Food service, the Dietary Aide works in the kitchen assisting in the preparation and service of food and follows a cleaning schedule. The service of food may include the transporting of food trays to the nursing units.


Dietary Aide
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The
    Dietary Aide may be responsible for some and/or all of the following functions some and/or all of the time under the assignment and direction of his/her supervisor.
  • Prepares and/or assists in preparation of meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Responsible for or assists in assembling trays, cleaning and storage of supplies and equipment.
  • Continuously cleans food service work areas as food preparation and service is done.
  • Labels nourishment and sends or transports them to resident floors.
  • Transporting trays and carts to or from the resident floors.
  • Uses all equipment according to manufacturer instructions. Follow proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.

What you will bring to the job?

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year of institutional food service experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of food handling, preparation and storage techniques that comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Able to Pass Background Check and Drug Screen
