The Associate Product Design Manager is responsible for the development of a range of Licensed Hardlines products, working under general supervision from the product design leadership team.

Building strong peer and team relationships ensures the highest quality, consumer-focused, trend-right product lines.

You will report to the Sr. Manager

This is a one-year Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement


What You Will Do:


  • Work with Product Design leadership and our Licensee partners to drive the development of trendright, consumercentric product lines that feature marketleading innovation and great price/value for our guests.
  • Execute product and licensed packaging development and approvals through online systems and collaborative approval meetings, ensuring exceptionally highquality standards in character execution, indepth storytelling, color, material, form, and function, and assisting with onboarding new partners.
  • In partnership with Licensee partners, develop and design product and packaging mockups for development meetings, assist with compiling line sheets for line reviews, and layout creative presentations for partner meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and approve all products.
  • Closely monitor competitors, product innovation, and market dynamics
  • Research market trends by category
  • Multitask and prioritize multiple design projects within deadlines

Required Qualifications & Skills:


  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the hardlines product and packaging development process (raw materials, plastic, têxtiles, print, pattern, graphic composition and manufacturing).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven negotiating skills
  • Excellent computer software skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote & MS Office Suite)

Preferred Qualifications:


Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. industrial design, toy design, fashion design, graphic design)
