Purchasing Agent

Description:

Under general supervision conducts inventories, purchase materials, and supplies needed to support production requirements. Prepare formal reports of raw material inventory and consumption monthly and ensure inventory levels are maintained. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Adheres to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.

Carries out warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.

Uses knowledge of product lead time to order accordingly.

Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
A work environment that will be a combination of time in an office-based environment as well as a warehouse. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.


Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED

Minimum of 2 years of purchasing related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Outstanding organizational skills

A strong analytical mindset
