Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Department Head or Branch Manager, this individual is responsible for developing, cultivating and maintaining existing and new profitable deposit and loan customer relationships.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work independently and under the direction of manager to develop new business that creates value to the branch
Maintain the branch's established market presence
Develop prospect customers independently
Compile and analyze financial data and information to prepare credit memo.
Perform industry and market analysis
Identify credit risk and other key risk factors to contribute to loan decision process
Prepare internal credit memo and follow through with head office credit management department to obtain approval
Negotiate with customer on terms and conditions within parameters defined by credit decisions
Finalize loan agreement with customer and close the loan based on final credit approval conditions
Maintain existing loan portfolio and cultivate a strong customer relationship
Manage participation/syndication loans assuring satisfactory loan servicing, covenant and reporting compliance, and risk mitigation
Identify value-added customers for the branch for cross-sale opportunities
Responsible for business growth (loans, deposits, fees), both individually and together with the team, through development of new deposit and loan customers
Other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATION
·
Bachelor's degree in finance or related area; advanced degree is a plus
·
Minimum 5 years of related experience
·
Good understanding of commercial industry, business development techniques and credit decisions
·
Excellent credit and financial analysis skills
·
Good negotiation skills
·
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
·
Bilingual in English/Chinese is required
