THE JOB AT A GLANCE:


Join our packaging team at Red Arrow where you will be responsible for packaging and assembly of inventory product prior to shipping.

Your primary duties are to determine preparation needs for each individual packaging assignment, organize items and/or assemble into kits into completed products, package the items according to specifications, and maintain inventory of all items needed for packaging.


A TYPICAL DAY:


  • You will perform routine and repeated assembly of components.
  • You will inspect product at final assembly and/or prior to packaging.
  • You will operate packaging equipment and shrink machine.
  • You will bundle, fill, sort, tie, seal, pack, weigh, wrap, or bag and box manufactured products.
  • You will follow standards for placing/arranging items on or in packaging media.
  • You will prepare machine to package final product using card stock, bubble pack, packaging film, and other packaging media.
  • You will feed supplies into the machines.
  • You will perform the picking of components requiring packaging/processing.
  • You will cut plastic or other bulk/raw goods as needed including operating manual and powered cutting tools.
  • You will monitor the production process; constantly look out for problems such as supplies pileups, machine jams, and glue or labels that are not sticking properly.
  • You will perform quality control functions such as checking that labels and cards correctly identify the contents of the package, and quality checks on assembly components.
  • You will use product verification database as related to product accuracy and quality.
  • You will complete minor repairs as well as report all malfunctions.
  • You will perform Putaway/Replenishment of finished good products produced or packaged.
  • You will maintain and log information or inspection data as required.
  • You will partake in overall housekeeping of packaging center including cleaning production and inspection equipment.
  • You will train both new and current employees on process and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

TO LAND THIS OPPORTUNITY:


You have obtained a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with related ability to acquire and utilize computer technology including company warehouse management system (WMS).

Minimum one year of experience in an industrial or commercial environment. You have the ability to be licensed as a powered industrial truck operator.
