Job Summary
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide onetoone support to families/primary caregivers of children and/or adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
- Promote parent participation in NAMI Basics and Parent Support Groups.
- Demonstrate commitment to the system of care values and guiding principles.
- Work to eliminate stigma and end discrimination regarding mental health for all individuals and their families.
- Execute all tasks required to meet contractual agreements with funders.
- Participate in program team and supervisory meetings and seek consultation when needed from supervisor.
- Collect and organize all data related to the position.
- Demonstrate effective outreach and promotion of NAMI NH's support, education, and leadership programs and our public policy platform.
- Attend community events/meetings as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with all customers, consumers, NAMI NH staff, families, agencies, and other organizational staff in a productive and considerate manner.
- It may be necessary to work some evenings and weekends.
- While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to talk or hear along with frequently standing; walking; using hands to finger, handle or feel; and reaching with hands and arms.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge
- Lived Experience having a personal experience as a primary caregiver of a child with SED and understanding and the experience of working towards family recovery empowerment.
- Knowledge of community resources and experience navigating mental health and related systems of care.
- Three years of work experience in the human service or mental health field providing direct service.
- Demonstrated writing, public speaking, training, and organizational skills.
- Maintain available, reliable transportation and willingness to travel and have a flexible schedule.
- Above average proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products and virtual meeting software.
- Ability to develop, track, transfer, and access information related to work through navigating different cloudbased systems as directed.
