Job Summary

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide onetoone support to families/primary caregivers of children and/or adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
  • Promote parent participation in NAMI Basics and Parent Support Groups.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the system of care values and guiding principles.
  • Work to eliminate stigma and end discrimination regarding mental health for all individuals and their families.
  • Execute all tasks required to meet contractual agreements with funders.
  • Participate in program team and supervisory meetings and seek consultation when needed from supervisor.
  • Collect and organize all data related to the position.
  • Demonstrate effective outreach and promotion of NAMI NH's support, education, and leadership programs and our public policy platform.
  • Attend community events/meetings as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with all customers, consumers, NAMI NH staff, families, agencies, and other organizational staff in a productive and considerate manner.
  • It may be necessary to work some evenings and weekends.
  • While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to talk or hear along with frequently standing; walking; using hands to finger, handle or feel; and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Lived Experience having a personal experience as a primary caregiver of a child with SED and understanding and the experience of working towards family recovery empowerment.
  • Knowledge of community resources and experience navigating mental health and related systems of care.
  • Three years of work experience in the human service or mental health field providing direct service.
  • Demonstrated writing, public speaking, training, and organizational skills.
  • Maintain available, reliable transportation and willingness to travel and have a flexible schedule.
  • Above average proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products and virtual meeting software.
  • Ability to develop, track, transfer, and access information related to work through navigating different cloudbased systems as directed.
