Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team.

As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Your attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate with drivers and customers will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

Receive and process customer orders for transportation services
Coordinate with drivers to schedule pickup and delivery times
Monitor driver routes and provide realtime updates as needed
Utilize GPS and other tracking systems to track the location of drivers and shipments
Communicate with customers regarding any delays or changes in delivery schedules
Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities
Collaborate with logistics team to optimize transportation routes and maximize efficiency
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Dispatcher or in a similar role
Proficient in using dispatch software, GPS, and other relevant tools
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of transportation planning, logistics, and fleet management
Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information System) software is a plus
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
