Area of Accountability:
Knowledge of materials movement in areas of shipping/receiving, sales order picking, inventory control and cycle count. Primary focus and master trainer in 1 of the specialized areas.
Essential Functions:
Knowledge of the below materials areas and proficient in 1 of the areas. Effective communication across all functional areas of the plant
For shipping the primary focus is to ensure that all completed products along with all documentation/paperwork are shipped to customer accuracy and on time
- Schedule pickup, create Bills-OfLading for domestic & export orders, including custom papers for export loads
- Properly maintain shipments within TMS so that the Billing of Sales orders and (ASN) Automatic shipping Notices is completed in a timely manner
- Follows customer shipping requirements and follows routing instructions listed on the customer's sales order
- Inspect loading operators to determine space requirements and load limits to be in compliance with shipping specifications.
- Inform manufacturing departments and customer service when issue arise that effect on time delivery
- Maintain ERP system integrity though accuracy of receivers and research issues
- Manage distribution and subcontract orders
- Manage logistics of receiving for vendors, incoming dunnage and subcontractor materials
- Identify, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies from receiving errors and provide corrective actions
- Review material shortages and work with supplier schedulers and/or production to set priorities
- Identify root cause of inventory errors and eliminate causes of errors
- Work with production to inform of number of lines needed counted each day to maintain 98% accuracy
- Work with finance and auditors on any inventory accuracy issues

Education and Training
- High School Education required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), operational processes and capacity planning, required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Operates with a strong sense of urgency required

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
