About the Role:

• Serves as caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care.
• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of registered nurse (RN).

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a crucial role in delivering age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs of residents, following infection prevention policies, and using Personal Protective Equipment. The NA works part-time evenings from 4:30 pm - 9 pm, providing assistance with basic health-care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing vital signs checking providing psychosocial support other personal cares assisting transfers repositioning walking techniques equipment range motion passive exercises food preparation dining creating positive dining experience for residents assists meals snacks water supplements appropriate aids providers nursing staff procedures documentation communicates changing condition responses charge nurses collects non-invasive body fluid specimens gathers vital signs housekeeping laundry provide wellbeing recreational programs encourages participation may departmental committees task forces needed qualifications: high school graduate preferred but required minimum age certified clinical or prior experience requirements Certified Nursing Assistant CNA certification State Board Nursing within months enrolled training program obtaining certification through Endorsement Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing maintains continuing education credits annually remains certifications EEO Employer If individual disability help online application request call talent@sanfordhealth.org accepted will drug screen pre-employment background screening Drug Free Workplace Policy
