    About the Opportunity:

    JOB PURPOSE:
    Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in a manufacturing industry by performing the duties below

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    Provides engineering support by developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods.
    Confers with management, engineering, and planning regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production methods.
    Designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

    Communicates with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

    Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
    Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
    Analyzes direct and indirect labor, line balancing, flow analysis and process optimization.
    Develops PFMEA's, budgets, line/facility layouts, process sheets, capacity analyses, make/buy analyses.
    Utilizes LSS tools and leads teams to identify and eliminate waste.
    Optimizes production capabilities through capital equipment justification and acquisition.
    Researches and analyzes new technologies to improve manufacturing processes.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution (or equivalent)Ten (10) years of engineering experience in a multi-disciplined manufacturing environmentStrong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to create, design, and interpret engineering drawings


    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
