Description

The Transportation Department has an opportunity for an Engineering Division Manager in Riverside.

The Engineering Division Manager will play a critical role on the overall administration of the Construction Inspection Division which includes Materials Lab, Improvement and Development Projects and Pavement Management.

Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for managing varying groups from Engineering Technicians, professional Civil Engineers, Engineering Project Managers, and contract consultants.

This class is characterized by the high level of responsibility for the management of specialized and technical functions of a division of the Transportation Department.

Incumbents report to the Deputy Director of Transportation.

This class is distinguished from the Deputy Director of Transportation by the latter's responsibility to assist in the administration and operation of the Transportation Department.

The Transportation Department is responsible for planning, designing, funding, building, operating and maintaining all roads, bridges, and transportation facilities within the unincorporated County territory.
