Your tasks:

  • Goal- and profit-oriented management as well as optimization of the fruit & vegetable department
  • Customer-oriented selection of products and seasonal assortment design, as well as pricing of items
  • Establishing contacts on the procurement side and crop planning
  • Maintaining relationships with our producers/suppliers and conducting purchasing negotiations
  • Development and implementation of placement concepts
  • Quantity planning and control, as well as disposition
  • Development and implementation of customer-oriented marketing measures
  • Conducting market and competition observations and identifying trends as the basis for optimal assortment design
  • Achieving sales and profit goals for the responsible product category

Your profile:

  • You have completed a commercial apprenticeship or a degree in business or nutrition science
  • You have professional experience in the trade of fruit & vegetables as a purchaser or category manager, or in a similar position
  • You have a strong ability to work independently, as well as organizational and analytical skills, and are also a team player with negotiation skills and a confident demeanor
  • You have a good command of MS Office applications and excellent English skills, both written and spoken
