Description

AmesburyTruth is looking for an Accountant, Intercompany to join our team in Statesville, NC. This role is responsible for end-to-end process of Intercompany Accounting such as, reviewing and verifying intercompany transactions, reviewing and resolving out of balance/intercompany reconciling items, and Intercompany account settlement. Handles multiple sites and complex transaction flows.

This role is eligible to work on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

Transaction Processing:
Verifies and reviews details (both sending and receiving) of intercompany requests received
Works with appropriate accounting contact persons for Intercompany transactions with exceptions
Monitors intercompany transaction work flows and work with various parties who need to action
Prepares accruals for recurring transactions (e.g. goods in transit)
Reconciliation:
Performs preliminary and final Intercompany reconciliations for multiple locations
Resolves intercompany reconciling items within month-end reporting timelines
Prepares formal balance sheet reconciliations on required timelines
Settlement:
Coordinates with staff performing payment transactions for any settlement requirements
Prepares payments and collections relating to Intercompany
Maintains and balances consolidation system by inputting and verifying data
Analyzes data to determine root causes of discrepancies and coordination with other departments to resolve
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of accounting or financial analysis experience
Demonstrate good understanding of basic accounting practices and financial systems
SAP or other large ERP system experience
Accuracy and good organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and formulas
