    The
    Product Manager
    leads a product team to manage and develop products to drive GIAs business success.

    What We Offer:

    Hiring Range:
    $98,288 - $150,000


    Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work.

    There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.

    Flexible hybrid work schedule 2 days per week in Seattle office required.

    What Youll Do:


    Contributes to GIA business strategy through operational leadership including guidance and leveraging of other staff to execute a holistic strategy for specific or multiple products in alignment with strategic objectives and within the context of the product development cycle.

    Collaborates and assess development of short and long-term strategies to offer the product differentiators and experiences needed to achieve profitable market share growth.

    Resolves operational issues and develops preventative measures needed to lead change effectively on new and existing products, setting the appropriate strategic tone for product and establishing a roadmap and future state vision.

    Leads complex/critical program execution to business opportunities as appropriate, particularly regarding new distribution partnerships/programs, new products/markets and other internal escalations.

    Conducts stakeholder and risk analysis with research, evaluation, to provide recommendations for products and processes.
    Leverage internal and external 3rd party data to develop business insights, analyze state specific P&L and marketing plans.

    Independently determines approach to managing team with broad skill sets including technical knowledge of personal and commercial lines products, risk selection strategies, project management, implementation, and customer experience.

    Fosters team environment and builds cross-functional partnerships.

    Ability to work in a hybrid working environment, with several days in the office and several days remote, unless an ADA accommodation is needed.


    Supervision Exercised:
    Provides technical oversight and direction of Product Analyst and Product Development Specialist.

    Partners with CPO to maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintain a safe, secure, and legally compliant work environment; and to work with staff for their professional development.

    Fosters engagement across the team.

    In conjunction with the CPO, accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and providing performance management; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

    Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field
    Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
    Advanced product, pricing, underwriting, and insurance regulation knowledge, with advanced knowledge of product offerings, pricing, and risk selection methodologies.

    Strong ability to think strategically, properly prioritize multiple work streams to ensure the best business result(s), and to drive and own decision making.

    Advanced at building the relationships necessary to influence future delivery and roadmaps.
    Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to stakeholders to leverage specialized capabilities that exist outside of reporting line.
    Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills
    Experience managing projects preferred
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    High proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, use lookup formulas, etc.)
    Insurance industry experience and knowledge of insurance underwriting, product pricing and how state regulations impact the business

    PREFERRED:
    Masters degree
    Experience managing projects
