We are seeking a Career-Minded Shop Technician to join our team.Our firm is in need of a get-it-done, "my word is my bond" hard worker that can transform a longstanding, moderately performing shop into a high performing, well oiled machine.

You will love coming to work every day if you get, want, and have the capacity to:
→As a trainee the first 6 months:
- LMA (Lead, Manage, Accountability)
- Complete New Hire Checklist
- Complete Field-Based Training Checklist
- Pass Fire Extinguisher Statutes 6001 & FEL-B pronto, then FEL-K, FEL-A
- Passing exams and graduating to Shop Tech required in 6 months from date of hire.
- LMA (Lead, Manage, Accountability)
- Support field technicians and walkin customers
- Perform service work on a variety of wet chemical and dry chemical cylinders
- Provide oversight of extinguishers and parts inventory
- Maintain machinery within the shop
- Establish and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- This role requires someone willing to improve existing workflows and longstanding work patterns. We need a disruptor that can envision and implement change while bringing team mates along with the updates (as opposed to alienating them)
Qualifications:
- Already in possession of Texas Type B, Type K, or Type A Fire Extinguisher Licenses or
- Previous experience in fire protection, machinery or other related fields
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
