Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Glendale specializes in the manufacturing of precision magnesium and aluminum sand castings. We have an exciting opportunity for a Tooling Expeditor.

This successful incumbent will coordinate the flow of work and tooling between departments as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Expedites, routes and dispatches tooling in accordance with production schedules and commitments
  • Conveys tool from storage to designated area using forklift or other devices
  • Generates reports on parts in storage areas
  • Advises management of status of tool availability and potential production problems to ensure that tools are available as needed
  • Maintains storage, filing location and condition of all tooling equipment

Position Requirements

  • Inventory, production support and/or warehousing experience
  • Personal drive for process improvements
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with leaders, peers, and others
  • Forklift experience
  • Experience tracking and reporting status
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, quality basics, engineering flows
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proficient with Excel spreadsheets and MS Outlook
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
