Operator, Sweeper:
Location:
Houston, TX, 77049
Skills:
- Ability to drive a sweeper truck
- Perform basic pretrip inspection
- Sweeping on job site
- Dump the truck and use rake to pull out debris out of truck
- Complete paperwork upon completion of night
- Read maps and follow driving directions
- Good knowledge of traffic regulations and safe driving practices
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required
Responsibilities:
- Drive sweeper truck to a job
- Use a back pack blower to blow out trash at each site
- Sweep up trash with truck
- Drive the truck from job to job
- Sweeping on job site
Qualifications and Skills:
- Training will constitute of a supervisor riding with you to do the training onsite until you are ready to sweep
- Punctuality and honesty are expected
- After training is complete you are on your own and are expected to perform in a professional manner and quality work
- Must have ability to speak, understand, write and read English
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and climb in and out of equipment
- Able to work around dirt, dust, and noise associated with heavy equipment
