Description

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules
  • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records for each patient
  • Assist with various tasks related to patient care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication administration and coordination of care
  • Provide support and assistance to patients and their families regarding medication management

Qualifications:

  • Valid nurse or medication aide certification
  • Previous experience in medication administration, preferably in a healthcare setting such as a hospital or home care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology
  • Familiarity with medication systems and procedures
  • Ability to phlebotomize is a plus
  • Experience in dementia care is highly desirable
