Responsibilities:


  • Generate comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligned with both industry standards and client requirements, including power distribution schematics, lighting layouts, grounding plans, and control system diagrams.
  • Determine conduit, conductor, and wire sizing, meticulously accounting for current loads and environmental variables.
  • Assess cable tray fills methodically to guarantee proper cable management, organization, and future scalability.
  • Perform detailed short circuit calculations to accurately determine fault currents, select appropriate protective devices, and ensure system safety and reliability.
  • Perform precise voltage drop calculations to ensure electrical system stability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure all electrical designs strictly adhere to pertinent local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
  • Will work with other Designers, Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
  • Foster collaboration, communication, strategy, and support within your team, multidisciplinary groups (Mechanical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, etc.), and intercompany teams to optimize efficiency, quality, and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required. An Associate degree in engineering or architectural fields is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Experience with other tools such as Revit, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and/or EasyPower is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA, etc.).
  • Salary Range: $50,000 $100,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
