Summary:
AZCFC has a 18 year proven track record for excellence in providing evidence based services to justice involved individuals as well as behavioral health services.
The purpose of this position is to support individuals who are on probation and/or re-entering the community after incarceration and to help them engage in treatment services.
Additionally to provide direct and indirect services for individuals involved in the Criminal Justice System.Major responsibilities include:
- Act as a liaison between the agency and the referring entity.
- Receive, process and track all incoming program referrals.
- Outreach and engage justice involved clients and schedule intakes.
- Complete initial screenings and assessments.
- Check clients in for group sessions and services.
- Collect and track client copays.
- Assist clients with obtaining needed resources.
- Clearly communicate to the client what they can expect from the service and what the agency will expect of them.
- Track client engagement and follow up with clients and referring agents regarding client engagement.
- Assure there is cross system coordination of services and that services are being provided.
- Provides direct services to clients either group, individual, case management or skills training.
- Meets productivity and complies with all policies and procedures of justice related contracts and programs.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Preference for this position is bilingual/Spanish.
- Master's degree in forensic psychology, social work, counseling or a related field with clinical training is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in forensic psychology and substance abuse disorders may also be considered.
- A genuine desire for providing forensic services and comfort with working with criminal populations.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekend and holiday hours. Minimum of 2 years working in the behavioral health field with at least one year working with justice involved clients.
- Ability to be attentive to detail.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and meet all identified timelines.
- Ability to be a selfstarter and creative in identifying solutions to problems; knowing when to inform supervisor when obstacles arise.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with people from a variety of diverse agencies, backgrounds, resources, and communities.
- Good communication skills.
Must pass background check.
This position will likely require several evening hours until at least 7pm most days.
Pay:
$ $27.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No more than 40 per week
