About the Role:
Our Performance Solutions Division is looking for a Chemical Regulatory Affairs associate to join the team. Chemical Regulatory Affairs provides expertise on chemicals and associated regulations.

In this role, you will focus on US and Canadian chemical control regulations enabling the use, development and movement of chemicals globally.

In addition, as required you will support more broadly across our other Divisions to develop, improve and/or implement processes to manage risk and support regional compliance.


This position will be located at our facility in Newark, Delaware, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop an understanding of Gore materials and relevant existing and emerging regulations
  • Determine chemical regulatory impacts and risks to Businesses; translate potential impacts into options and recommendations; maintain records and supporting documents
  • Lead TSCA program activities, including Chemical Data Reporting (CDR), and other TSCA compliance and reporting requirements (SNUR, exemptions and imports and exports), including issuing relevant certifications and using CDX
  • Provide regulatory assistance and input into various activities including new product development, new chemical approvals, and Stewardship Assessments
  • Advise on Gore's compliance to chemical regulations in appropriate markets for use
  • Support EH&S in maintaining our SDSs including label creation
  • Support hazardous communications for all Gore Chemicals including IP sensitive materials
  • Provide training as required on chemical and regulatory affairs as required

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3 years experiences in a regulatory role, with a working knowledge of chemicals/chemistry
  • Knowledge of TSCA regulations
  • Thorough knowledge and indepth understanding of regulatory principles and guidelines
  • Active communicators with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effectively lead yourself and effectively contribute in a global and virtual team environment
  • Ability to prepare and submit reports to required deadlines
  • Ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders including manufacturing, technical and logistics teams
  • Strong ability to recognize IP and other different waterlines
  • Ability to travel 10%

Hybrid Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore's hybrid working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
