About the role:

DNV's Risk Advisory Services is seeking a **Temporary/On-Demand Consultant

  • Risk Management (Health Safety and Environment)**Managing risk and uncertainty is one of the most fundamental roles in the energy sector and other process industries. The Risk section covers various services, including RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) modeling, Quantitative Risk Analysis, Functional Safety, FMEA/FMECA, and Data Analysis.


This role is primarily as a technical scribe in support of our Principal Consultants when they are conducting various safety workshops.

The workshops may be in-person at the client s facility in the greater Houston area or they may be wholly on-line.

Other tasks may be assigned from time to time to support other activities. Some additional contact hours are likely with the Principal Consultants in the Katy Tx office.


This is an Hourly Position. This role does not have a predetermined minimum hour per week but is on a project-by-project basis. When a project is assigned, it is likely that the work hours would be 8 hours per day for a set number of days per week for one or more weeks. Travel time to and from the client s facility in greater Houston are not considered part of the workday.

This position will ideally be based out of our Katy (TX) office.

The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.

The range of starting pay for this role is $40 - $50 per hour.


About you:


What Is Required

  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in upstream, midstream or downstream energy sector
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or another technical discipline
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels in an organization
  • We conduct preemployment drug and background screening

What Is Preferred

  • Knowledge of oil and gas equipment and processes
  • Knowledge of risk analysis methods
