Duties:

• Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens
• Properly label and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Follow established protocols and maintain accurate records of all phlebotomy procedures
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines during specimen collection
• Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure complete specimen collection.
• Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment

Skills:

• Proficient in medical terminology related to phlebotomy procedures
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques used in specimen collection and preparation.
• Skilled in maintaining aseptic technique during specimen collection
• Knowledgeable about laboratory procedures for different types of diagnostic tests
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to provide compassionate and professional service

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay:
$14.00 per hour
