Summary:


VCU's School of Education (SOE) seeks a pediatric research interventionist who embraces diversity, equity and inclusion and will contribute to a climate that supports students, faculty, and staff of all identities and backgrounds.

  • Responsibilities will include learning a specific intervention, utilizing that intervention with families randomized to this arm of the study, inputting data on each visit, and sharing feedback with the research team. Primary work will be with families of infants and toddlers, Dr. Spence, Dr. Dusing, a research assistant, and the study trainer. Visits will be conducted in the home environment or the Motor Development Lab if the family prefers. Travel to family homes, within approximately 60 miles of Richmond, is required.

Required Qualifications
1) License as a PT in VA

  • 2) Must have 3+ years experience working with infants and toddlers with cerebral palsy and/or motor delays
  • 3) Must be able to drive and have a car to do home visit
  • 4) Flexible schedule
  • 5) Ability to work in a diverse environment required

1) Independent worker and problem solver, to seek out assistance when needed, and detail oriented
