Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Estimator to join our construction team.

As the Chief Estimator, you will be responsible for overseeing the estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimates, and managing the overall bidding process.

This is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Duties:

• Lead and manage the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements
• Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Analyze project scope and develop detailed takeoffs and material quantities
• Utilize industrystandard software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to perform quantity takeoffs and create cost estimates
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include detailed cost breakdowns, schedules, and any necessary qualifications or assumptions
• Present cost estimates to senior management for review and approval
• Participate in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and pricing
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide ongoing cost control measures

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience as a Chief Estimator or similar role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, techniques, and software tools
• Proficiency in using Bluebeam, or similar estimating software
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships

Pay:
$125, $150,000.00 per year
