Helping students develop and strengthen academic, physical,
and social skills by providing assistance and tutoring to students in the after-school program.
Must be attentive and energetic Must work well with a team and bring a creative flair to the environment We are looking for positive mature role models.
Responsibilities:
Helping students develop and strengthen academic, physical,
and social skills by providing assistance and tutoring to students in the afterschool program.
- Assisting in implementing educational and behavioral strategies to support students
- Providing oneonone or small group instruction/ support to students as directed
- Assist with any possible behavior management and conflict resolution strategies
- Maintain a safe, recreational, and supportive learning space for all students
- Develop lesson plans for classroom events, projects organization and preparation of materials
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children,
preferably _in a classroom or childcare setting_
Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with school education practices and procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- First-Aid Certified already is preferred
