MUSEUM TECHNICIAN (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT)/ CENTRAL VALLEY DISTRICT / CULTURAL RESOURCES / INDIAN GRINDING ROCK STATE HISTORIC PARK
This position will work under the direction of the Staff Park and Recreation Specialist.

The reporting location for this position is Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park at 14881 Pine Grove Volcano Road, Pine Grove, CA The position is responsible for the care and cleaning of museum collections, collection records management, and maintenance of exhibit and storage facilities.

The Museum Technician cleans, rehouses, and preserves the collections; monitors the environment; and supports the Integrated pest management program. The incumbent processes accessions and collections; catalogues objects; participates in inventories; and maintains digital and paper records.

The Museum Technician provides field support through collection care and emergency response and assists with creating and updating the parks disaster response plan.

The incumbent oversees the planning, design, installation, continued care of exhibits, and researches objects for appropriate use in exhibits.

The Museum Technician will work occasionally in other parks within the Central Valley District. Infrequent travel, evening, or weekend hours may be required.

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period

Training and Development Assignments may be considered

This position is designated - not telework eligible.


Travel Required:
Occasional travel may be required. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
