Pay Range:
$20/hr - $23/hr depending on experience
Position Summary:
The NJPAC Painter is responsible for the hands-on painting of all areas of the NJPAC campus, including repairs, prep, spackling, etc., interior and exterior.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Painting of walls, doors, floors, equipment, furnishings, and any other items as assigned.
- Repair and staining of wood work such as doors, wall finishing, display racks, etc.
- Repairing, patching and painting of sheetrock.
- Conduct all painting related repairs, maintenance, and projects as assigned.
- Keep adequate inventory of all paint, stains, and supplies.
Qualifications and Special Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 23 years' experience painting and staining
- Should have computer skills including Word, Excel & Google Applications
- Able to lift and carry heavy objects from 50 to 100 pounds.
- Must have knowledge of the safest methods to be used in performing heavy manual
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relations with those contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to understand and follow, quickly and accurately, oral and written instructions.
- Ability to perform manual and custodial tasks over extended periods of time, often under deadlines.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and weekends as necessary
