We are currently seeking a part-time employee (m/f/d) for our city museum, with approximately 6 hours per week.

The museum's collection includes around 10,000 objects and 8,000 photos, which have been inventoried in recent years.

With a newly designed permanent exhibition, a diverse range of events, special exhibitions, educational activities, tours, and courses, the museum will open in June 2023 and showcase the everyday culture and history of the city of Unterschleißheim.


Your main responsibilities will include:


  • Supervising the city museum in Unterschleißheim
  • Assisting with the preparation, execution, and followup of events in and around the city museum
  • Conducting museum tours for a wide audience
  • In the long term: independently managing educational activities for children on weekends

Your profile:


  • Flexibility with working hours and availability for evening and weekend shifts (museum supervision and event support)
  • Reliability
  • Wellgroomed and friendly appearance
  • Experience in interacting with visitors
  • Experience in educational work is desirable, or willingness to acquire these skills

We offer:

The position is classified according to EG 2 TVöD. The salary is based on the regulations of the public sector. In case of equal qualifications, preference will be given to disabled applicants (m/f/d).
