    StaffAbout the DepartmentUChicago STEM Education is a center devoted to research and development that resides within the Physical Sciences Division (PSD) of the University of Chicago.

    UChicago STEM Education continues the University of Chicagos long-standing commitment to improving precollege education and aims to support high quality instruction and learning for all students.

    Through the sharing of knowledge and the creation of useful products and programs, UChicago STEM Education seeks to make a positive difference for instruction throughout the nation.

    UChicago Financial Education Initiative, part of UChicago STEM Education, seeks to empower all individuals to navigate the financial system with confidence, make informed and reasoned financial decisions throughout their lives, and realize long-term financial well-being.

    The Initiative was launched in July 2016 to develop the tools, resources, and capacity to spread robust financial education across the country.

    This includes the development and publication of tools for kids and families. The Initiative is regularly invited to conferences and educational events to share their unique approach to financial education.

    Job SummaryJoin a fast-paced and innovative team that is developing a world-class elementary financial education curriculum for students in Hong Kong.

    Develop tools and processes to help elementary teachers enact this curriculum with their students.

    ResponsibilitiesDevelops programs for elementary school educationWrites and deliver professional development for a wide variety of schools and grade levelsDevelops financial education materials for students and teachers.

    Requires a deep understanding financial education contentReviews research and development of curriculum, models, and best practices in the field of educationWorks with teachers and other organizations to support the field test of the programMay lead the implementation of professional development workshops for teachersUses in-depth experience in the establishment of collaborative partnerships with other organizationsDevelops programs for primary and secondary school education.

    Requires a deep understanding of the field of primary and secondary school educationUtilizes in-depth experience in the identification and establishment of collaborative partnerships with schoolsPerforms other related work as neededMinimum QualificationsEducation:Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.


    Work Experience:
    Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
