Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals in need.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.


Duties:

• Assist individuals with community support, educational goals, and daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the wellbeing of individuals
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals receiving care
• Support individuals with employment, social skills, volunteering

Requirements:

• Experience in assisting individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
• Knowledge of local activities, events, and virtual events.
• Familiarity with IDEA laws for individuals with disabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Compassionate and clientcentered
• Valid driver's license and insurance for transportation needs
