We seek an experienced and highly skilled Enzymologist to lead groundbreaking research initiatives in our Research & Development team.
In this role, you will drive the discovery, characterization, and translation of novel enzymes into innovative diagnostic solutions for infectious diseases.
Your expertise, combined with demonstrated experience in navigating regulatory pathways and securing grant funding, will be essential to accelerating the development and impact of our cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities:

Diagnostic Assay Development: Direct the development and optimization of robust diagnostic assays that incorporate novel enzymes, ensuring sensitivity, specificity, and compliance with industry standards.

Regulatory Strategy and FDA Interaction: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop regulatory strategies for new diagnostic products. Prepare and submit documentation to the FDA (e.g., 510(k), Investigational Device Exemption [IDE]).

Grant Writing and Management: Identify and pursue competitive grant funding opportunities from government agencies (NIH, NSF, etc.) and other relevant foundations. Write compelling research proposals and manage awarded grants.

Scientific Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior scientists. Present research findings at conferences and potentially contribute to scientific publications.
Qualifications:
- Ph.
- Postdoctoral experience in an industry or research setting.
- Strong track record of impactful enzyme research, including protein engineering or directed evolution techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnostic assay development and validation.
- Indepth knowledge of FDA regulations and experience interacting with regulatory bodies.
- Proven success in securing grant funding.
- Excellent scientific writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Pay:
$90, $150,000.00 per year
