The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation IPA conducts research in the department "Clinical Health Technologies" on the digitization of the healthcare sector. Within publicly and industrially funded projects, we research and develop specific solutions that aim to support medical personnel in the future in the admission, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. Our medical software systems combine existing and novel measurement technology and robotic assistance systems with modern user interfaces in distributed environments.
The tasks include both the acquisition, coordination, management, and implementation of software development projects, as well as communication with partners from science and industry, attending international conferences and trade fairs, and publishing scientific findings (in publications and presentations).

What you will do

Development of software for medical applications (frontend, backend, data storage, networking of hardware and components) using modern programming languages, frameworks, and libraries

Agile analysis, planning, organization, and implementation of research and development projects

Initiation and acquisition of research and development projects (initially supporting as a subject matter expert, increasingly independently in the course of your career)

Publication and external representation
