- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have knowledge of IP networking and IPSEC tunneling concepts and be able to install a small network with little to no supervision.
- Must be able to troubleshoot local connectivity issues and coordinate with remote network engineering staff to resolve network issues/outages.
- Must possess the ability to develop/modify/read schematics and drawings to determine how equipment is to be installed and troubleshoot issues.
- Will be relied upon to survey sites and assist with developing a Bill of Materials to propose material solutions to customers.
- Must be able to conduct status briefings with project managers and stakeholders, both internal and external.
- May be required to utilize test equipment (multimeters, cable testers, network testers, spectrum analyzers, etc.) in the performance of this position.
- Willing to travel up to 50%, and willing to travel OCONUS for short periods up to 30 days at a time.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or related field of study.
- MS Office Suite (Word/Visio/PowerPoint)
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II (CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent)
- Availability.
- Current, active TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience with IP networking and tunneling.
- Candidate must possess an active, DoD-issued TS/SCI security clearance.
- A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
- Conduct site surveys for new installations, followed up with after action reports and install plans/drawings.
- Install routers, servers, switches, computers and other peripheral equipment according to drawings.
- Interconnect devices and verify connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Communicate clearly with company personnel and customer throughout the project(s) lifecycle.
