Job Description Overview**:


The Associate Director, Commerce is responsible for overseeing holistic retail media programs, collaborating with the Director to develop strategy, and then working closely with Managers, through to Analysts to ensure best-in-class activation of said programs and associated campaigns.


As the connectivity between strategy and tactical activation, the Associate Director is a critical member of the Commerce team, responsible for the day-to-day running and innovation of the full campaign life cycle (strategy, tactical, set-up, optimization, reporting & billing), to achieve specified client objectives and KPIs.


Role Objectives:


  • Account Management _
  • Primary daytoday lead for client and partner relationship (holistic retail media), responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient running of relevant retail media programs for a specific client and/or business unit
  • Attends client and retail partner meetings on ongoing basis, interfacing as needed with middle to upper management level during meetings and presentations, whilst supported by the Director
  • Works closely with key retail media partners to maintain optimal working relationship, and collaborates on new ways to drive client's business at that retailer, acting as an initial escalation point and supporting JBP planning and commitments.
  • Retail Strategy and Tactical Activation_
  • Oversee the client's retail media programs across key eCommerce and omnichannel retail media platforms including (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Instacart ), and retail networks such as (CitrusAd, Criteo, Quotient )
  • Works closely with the Director to develop thought leadership (keep client and wider agency teams reprised of key industry updates & trends) and opportunities that will drive client business results
  • Partner with the Director to lead total business reviews and deliverables (QBRs, Annual Planning, etc.)
  • Demonstrate understanding and consideration of 360 retail and its relationship with media, from sales, merchandising, shopper programs, to operational aspects of PDP content optimization and supply chain
  • Interfaces with wider strategic planning and investment teams (Programmatic, Search, Social, Video), especially as retail and brand media increasingly overlap
  • Develop a complete understanding of your respective retail and/or client's goals, markets, needs and expectations, ensuring strategic and tactical delivery against such
  • In close collaboration with multiteam disciplines, support and run complex marketing analysis, such as advertising effectiveness, consumer profiling, customer profitability analysis (lifetime value), media mix modelling, conversion attribution analysis and ROI measurement
  • Leadership & People Management_
  • Responsible for managing and developing a team of Managers, Senior Analysts and Analysts
  • Embrace and encourage a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
  • Enable continuous development of Commerce specialists on your team, including marketplace training and certification, as well as account management excellence
  • Data & Tech _
  • Understand all relevant tools for management, reporting, analytics, and competitive analysis (Ex. Skai, Pacvue, Profitero, ComScore, Numerator)
  • Develop and sell through proprietary Publicis and Spark tools, tech, and frameworks in collaboration with the Director and Publicis Commerce/Publicis Media Commerce COE teams

Qualifications

  • 45+ years of account management experience in online advertising, direct marketing, or ecommerce with increasing levels of responsibility within an agency or media company, including clientfacing responsibilities
  • 2+ years of handson account management experience in online advertising with a focus on ecommerce
  • Indepth experience managing
