Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Create and implement short and longterm business and investment strategies
  • Identify and address company weaknesses
  • Strong knowledge of job costing, and percentage of completion accounting
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel, Procore is a plus
  • Provide leadership and foster engagement of finance personnel
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders and outside vendors
  • Promote the company's vision, mission, and company values
  • Oversee all financial operations
  • Evaluate, track, and report on company performance and goals

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and complies with GAAP
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts

Job Costing and Revenue Recognition

  • Oversee the job costing process, including setting up job cost codes and tracking project expenses
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition for construction contracts based on the percentage of completion method
  • Monitor job profitability and provide regular reports to project managers and executives

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including tax laws and GAAP
  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support
  • Collaborate with project managers, executives, and other departments to provide financial support and analysis
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred
  • Previous experience as a Controller or higher
  • Strong verbal leadership and written communication skills
  • Deep understanding of corporate finance
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams
  • Detailoriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to work efficiently in highpressure environments
