    Key job responsibilities

    Supports the Data Center Design Engineering, Principal Engineering, and Hardware Engineering teams to design and develop cutting edge concepts into new products.

    o Work on new product design and development project and work with internal teams to understand design requirements and solicit customer input.

    o Collaborate with other disciplines such as Data Center engineering, reliability, QA/QC and compliance teams to create well thought out products.

    o Creation of designs which meet or exceed our quality requirements while delivering a return on investment.
    o Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment.
    o Ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes across different countries.
    o Review and approval of product design and drawings including mechanical parts, assembly, construction and electrical drawings.
    o Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during manufacturing phases.

    o Work with field engineering and commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical products.

    o Ability to provide support for manufacturing activities for the new products on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
    o Support of Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review.

    o Be a leader within the product development team as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.

    o Having fun while offering creative, out of the box solutions.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS o Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering.
    o 4+ years of experience with new product design, development, product Certification and support manufacturing of power distribution equipment.
    o New Product design experience with low voltage (LV) distribution products with focus on switchgear, switchboards and panelboards.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS o Knowledge and able to interpret electric code NEC, NFPA, UL891, UL508, UL1066, UL1558, IEEE/ANSI C37
    o Experience in Engineering design, manufacturing, Quality control of the products such as Switchgear, panel boards, Power Distribution Units.
    o Knowledge of typical data center designs/architectures, and be following industry design trends.
