Job Title:
Clinician - CRISIS


Reports To:

CEO
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed by the Virginia Board of Counseling as an LMHP or LMHP-R

Master's Degree in the human service field.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in the mental health field.

Experience managing a staff of ten or more employees.

Experience organizing and managing large quantities of files and records.

Excellent leadership skills and strong ability to take initiative.

Strong organizational skills and ability to self-direct.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and produce high quality and accurate work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • The clinical review and management of mental health skill-building services
  • Participation in the development, implementation and ongoing assessment of mental health skillbuilding clients
  • Perform clinical needs assessments and develop person centered treatment plans
  • Providing supervision and/or ensuring adequate supervision is occurring
  • Ensure all policies and regulations are upheld and fulfilled as it pertains to client care
  • Regular informal training and evaluation of clinical staff members
  • Ensuring that clinical practice is in line with evidence based therapeutic models
  • Remain aware of DMAS and Human Rights regulations and company standards
  • Verify eligibility & screen referrals prior to assessment
  • Cultivate company resource relationships with other forprofit and nonprofit services that may provide wrap around or more comprehensive care for clients
  • Communicate daily with Crisis Program Manager regarding program intake schedule and program needs
  • Communicate weekly with
    CEO regarding program performance and program needs or concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Provides directions to clients and guests in a concise, informative manner, keeping a positive and courteous tone
  • Evidences good communication skills with coworkers, clients, and visitors through a nonjudgmental approach, effective listening, good eye contact, and positive interactions
  • Establishes and maintains good rapport and working relationships to foster intra and interdepartmental communications necessary for the delivery of client care
  • Utilizes available methods to maintain effective communication
  • Establishes and achieves realistic goals within position
  • Completes assigned tasks in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Participates effectively as a team member, coordinating efforts with other employees as appropriate
  • Maintains assigned schedule by allowing adequate time to arrive and assume responsibilities at designated time
  • Attends monthly mandatory staff meetings as well as all scheduled inservice and other required training
  • Adheres to NEW HOPE WELLNESS certification requirements, including but not limited to annual tuberculosis test/screening and CPR/First Aid certification
  • Adheres to attendance standards
  • Complies with appropriate dress standards
  • Submits timely written requests for leave, and reports neededfor time off due to illness according to company standards
  • Works independently to complete required tasks with minimum supervision, as appropriate
  • Maintains the confidential nature of all client and company related activities
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


LMHP or LMHP-R by the Virginia Board of Counseling, current driver's license, automobile insurance, tuberculosis test/screening, CPR & First Aid Certified, Human Rights Training and behavior management training.
