- Responsibilities include assisting members with various financial services, focusing on transactions, new accounts, and introductory loan processing. This involves addressing member inquiries, looking for upselling opportunities, and aiding members with their financial needs. The role also entails contributing to credit union growth objectives, fostering member relationships, and evaluating new account requests.
- Professionalism, attention to detail, and reliability are key traits we look for. Training will be provided for necessary daily skills, such as record-keeping, ensuring confidentiality and compliance, and recommending relevant products and services to members.
- Flexibility is essential. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 7:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Closed on Sundays across all locations. This is a full-time position with benefits, including double pay for most holidays. As a company, we observe Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, ensuring you will never work on these four holidays. Saturdays are scheduled on a rotation basis.

- Efficiently perform front-line operations and account functions, including transaction processing and new account services.
- Proactively identify and cross-sell products/services to benefit members financially.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all duties expected of a Service Associate 2.
- Accurately open new consumer accounts, gather required documents, and introduce members to various products.
- Ensure compliance with credit union policies when processing account applications and verifications.
- Help members with account requests, changes, and service setups.
- Handle sub-accounts and explain features of different account types to members.
- Explain tax-advantaged accounts like IRAs and HSAs.
- Perform introductory loan functions and discuss relevant information with members.
- Assist in balancing, troubleshooting, and auditing ATMs, ITMs, and cash recyclers.
- Understand the payroll process for direct deposit and payroll deductions.
- Independently resolve common member issues and escalate when necessary.
- Adapt positively to organizational changes and assist in additional tasks as required.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Dependable execution of all scheduled duties with accuracy and efficiency.
- Foster positive relations within the department and with other teams.
- Represent the credit union professionally to members, affiliates, and the community.
