***:The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for ordering all nursing supplies need for resident care as well as supplies need for nursing staff to properly care for our residents. Position reports to the Administrator.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the 8th Grade Level.
  • Ordering and monitoring supplies for resident and nursing staff as needed.
  • Place orders to ensure supplies are stocked.
  • Verifies supply order at time of delivery, inspects for damaged goods and verifies against purchase orders.
  • Accurately enters and maintains data relative to supplies using company software programs.
  • Keeping Central Supply area organized and stocked with supplies.
  • Ensures supply room is properly secured and supplies are kept out of reach of residents at all times.
  • Coding invoices for purchases and managing monthly nursing budget and spend down.
  • Distribute supplies to appropriate locations.
  • Assist with daily and monthly physical inventory.
  • Frequently lift and/or move weight in excess of twentyfive pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Must be organized and able to manage time wisely.
  • Prefer central supply experience in skilled nursing setting.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer programs.
