Yes, we were impacted by Hurricane Ian, but our beaches and sunsets are stunning and we're coming back by launching 2 new state-of-the-art food trucks and a gourmet market called Provisions

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting into the Provisions Manager and the Sous Chef, Prep Cooks perform various food preparation, cooking, and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in and out of the work area while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio. They must ensure that food is fresh and stored at the correct temperature to avoid spoilage. He/she must complete all tasks in order on the prep list from the Head Chef or Provisions Manager. He/she must correctly label and stock all ingredients on easily accessible shelves. He/she will wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats. He/she must measure quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients. He/she will parboil food, reduce sauces and starting first steps in various dishes. He/she may clean dishes, wash cooking utensils and cookware, take out trash and sanitize the work area. He/she must adhere to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and company standards. He/she will keep track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other workspace and management staff to order re-supply.
RATE OF PAY $21.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is preferred
Experience: Minimum 1 year cooking experience, former line cook/fry cook with food service preferred
Required: Must have a valid driver's license, motor vehicle background check will be completed
Must be 18 years old or older to hold this role, serving/selling alcohol in state of FL
Food Safety Certification & Alcohol Awareness Training will be provided
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
WORKING CONDITIONS - PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
HOURS REQUIRED 40 hours per week, flexible schedule, will be required to work weekends and/or holidays.
