Job Title:
Registered Nurse - Primary Care

Site:

Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, Directorate for Medical Services (DMS), Patient Care Medical Home (PCMH)**
Location:Twenty-Nine Palms, CA**
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.

5-hour shift (0700 to 1830) with an uncompensated 30-minute meal break


Responsibilities:


  • Assess health care needs for family members of active duty and retired military members across diverse nursing specialties.
  • Triage patients to determine the nature and urgency of health problems, directing them to appropriate levels of care.
  • Facilitate telephone communication between healthcare providers and patients, providing telephonic nursing advice as needed.
  • Assist with clinic procedures, serving as a resource person for nursing procedures and technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and deliver comprehensive care, ensuring continuity and coordination of services.
  • Perform basic nursing care procedures, including screenings, assessments, and patient education.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, assist during procedures, and monitor their physical and emotional status.
  • Administer medications and immunizations according to clinic policies, ensuring safe medication administration.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation of all nursing care provided.

Qualifications:


  • Current and valid state nursing license (RN) with no limitations or adverse actions.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university; graduate of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a clinical setting.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Proficiency in English language (reading, writing, speaking) for effective communication with patients and staff.
  • Knowledge of computer operations and basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
