• Responsibilities include:_
• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, differentiated curriculum built on social, emotional, and academic goals
• Plan lessons and tailor instruction to meet students' individual needs
• Maintain records on all students, including attendance, portfolios, and assessment information
• Write detailed progress reports two times per school year
• Coordinate with the school faculty, families, and outside support specialists to best support student growth
• Attend school events, including admissions information sessions and communitybuilding events
• Connect with local organizations to build partnerships and extend learning beyond campus
• Keep up to date with educational research and literature
• A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of two years teaching experience
• Ability to implement a highquality developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Ability to teach a range of learning styles, comfort with differentiated instruction
• Ability to collaborate and build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues
• Experience in inquirybased learning and teaching methodologies
• Knowledge of a variety of classroom management techniques (Responsive Classroom a plus)
• Ability to successfully engage students with the goal of fostering their cognitive and social and emotional growth
• Organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Passion for working with children and the craft of teaching
• Ability to exercise professional judgment at all times
