Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM

General Responsibilities:
Performs advanced, multifaceted accounting and related functions in areas such as ledger maintenance and analysis, cost and/or financial analysis, fund reconciliation, posting, and inventory control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and reviews budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants ensuring compliance with fiscal accountability and reporting and funding requirements.
- Monitors and reviews accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness; prepares and reviews budget, revenue, expense, and payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting transactions.
- Analyzes revenue and expenditure trends, recommends appropriate budget levels, and ensures expenditure control.
- Advises and interprets policies to faculty, staff, and outside persons such as vendors, funding source representatives, and patients; explains billings and reports, and resolves related problems.
- Participate in annual audit process
- Coordinate the preparation of regularly scheduled and special billings and financial statements for local, state, federal, and private funding sources.
- May supervise and/or lead lower graded staff and/or student employees.
- Performs miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in not for profit environmental preferred
- Ability to analyze budgetary expenditures for compliance with funding agencies' budget, policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections
- Working knowledge of financial software tools to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
- Ability to work independently in a multi tasked environment under tight deadlines.
- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and written
- Strong relationship building and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Well organized, with excellent time management skills
