- Conduct RFQ and Analyze quotations from different suppliers, utilizing the (TCO) total cost of ownership tools and the cost of the parts, components, and multisource for risk mitigation and on-time delivery of the project.
- Issue PO and expedite materials to support NPD launches for an on-time launch.
- Work with internal teams (product, engineering, operation, sourcing, and purchasing) to implement effective supplier strategies from NPD to product life cycle to minimize supply risk for Starline.
- Negotiate with suppliers for parts and tooling, and project timelines to ensure we launch NPD on time, on cost, and on spec.
- Update and maintain the Costed Bill of Material (CBOM) for each NPD project.
- Manage supplier's On Time Delivery (OTD) performance during prototype/development phases (Starline NPD Gates).
- Manage the PPAP orders for new parts when the PO is placed, quality inspection, operation, and engineering sign-off.
- Work with production buyers to transfer material purchasing responsibility once the new parts have obtained approved PPAP status.
- Manage NPD-related ECOs and sustain ECOs that affect new part changes related to the 3-year product plan.
- Conduct and facilitate technical design reviews with suppliers, in order to confirm the functionality of the part/component and manufacturability to support engineering.
- Lead for sourcing project updates, including risks and mitigation plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management or equivalent experience.
- CPM/PMP/APICS (CPIM or CSCP) certification preferred.
- 5 years experience purchasing materials.
- MRP or ERP software experience, Infor Cloud preferred.
- Experience with a high concentration in steel, copper or electronics markets preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules, and priorities for multiple projects and assignments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, engineering, operations, sourcing and purchasing, etc).
- Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Well-developed communication skills: able to clearly and concisely express information (or data) to associates, peers, and management.

- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally %.
- Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
- The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.

The New Product Sourcing Specialist will provide sourcing leadership for new product projects for our Starline Business This role serves as the sourcing and project management lead on project teams, driving delivery of Starline innovation development for an on-time, cost-effective, and on-spec launch.
