- Developing and implementing daily menus that meet the nutritional needs of the residents and comply with any special dietary requirements or restrictions.
- Planning and coordinating food service operations, including ordering food and supplies, managing inventory, and overseeing food preparation.
- Hiring, training, and supervising food service staff, including cooks and dietary aides.
- Creating a schedule to assist dietary staff.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards, including sanitation and hygiene practices.
- Managing the dietary department's budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborating with other departments and staff members, such as nursing and rehabilitation staff, to ensure that residents receive comprehensive care.
- LTC and dietary experience
