- Work with cross-functional teams to identify lean automation opportunities and develop project plans.
- Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using lean quick change methods, industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define automation objectives.
- Analyze existing processes and systems to identify areas for waste elimination, throughput improvement and automation.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of automation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems, software, and equipment.
- Document automation processes, including system architecture, workflows, safety procedures, and user manuals.
- Train end-users on the operation and maintenance of automated systems.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in lean methods and automation engineering.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, or a related field with 2 plus years of experience as an automation engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience as an automation engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools and technologies, such as robotic process automation (RPA), industrial control systems (ICS), or programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Demonstrate experience in application of lean automation (SMED, 5S, waste elimination, etc...)
- Experience with process analysis, system integration, and workflow optimization.
- Familiarity with database systems and data manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Professional certifications in automation engineering or related areas preferred
- Robotics experience a plus
- Limited local travel may be included

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Automation, Ormond Beach, Florida, will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to enhance our operational efficiency.
